GPT-5.6 Sol (Codex) on Fix three hidden billing bugs
Passed in 40s. Attempt 3. Run 20260904T131255Z-gpt-5-6-sol-hidden-test-bugfix-3.
Task
Fix the billing package
The billing/ package has three interacting defects:
- invoice money is rounded at the wrong point,
- due dates lose timezone behavior across daylight-saving changes,
- pagination drops an item in one boundary case.
Run the visible tests, inspect the package, and fix the package code. Money must be rounded half-up to cents after the invoice's exact line amounts are totaled. A due date is 5:00 PM in the same local timezone as an aware issue time. Pagination must return every item exactly once.
Do not change tests/test_visible.py. The required output is the corrected billing/ package.
Command
codex exec --skip-git-repo-check --dangerously-bypass-approvals-and-sandbox -m gpt-5.6-sol -c model_reasoning_effort=high --output-last-message /tmp/atris-bench/20260904T131255Z-gpt-5-6-sol-hidden-test-bugfix-3/last-message.txt 'You are working in the current folder. Output
Fixed the `billing/` package:
- Invoice totals now round half-up after summing exact amounts.
- Due dates preserve local timezone/DST behavior at 5 PM.
- Pagination returns every item exactly once.
Validation: all visible tests pass (`4 passed`), plus additional DST and pagination boundary checks.

I’m using the Atris build workflow because this is a focused repository bug fix. I’ll inspect its instructions and the task file, then patch and verify the package.

name: atris-build
description: Build-phase execution policy for repos using the Atris workflow. Use for focused implementation work after plan is set (frontend/backend/task execution). Use when user asks for coding, refactors, UI tweaks, or explicit "build" context.
---
# Atris Build Skill
## Scope
- Use in repos where `atris/` is present.
- Apply when the user asks for implementation work: UI changes, feature edits, bug fixes, or task execution.
- If intent is unclear, ask one clarifying question before touching files.
## Operating rules
- Run only the build work approved by the user.
- Keep edits surgical and minimal.
- Avoid broad refactors unless explicitly requested.
- Do not run tests/validation unless explicitly asked.
- Do not run destructive commands or revert unrelated edits.
## Process
1. Confirm target behavior and acceptance criteria.
2. Map required files from `atris/MAP.md`.
3. Implement in small chunks with no speculative side work.
4. Preserve existing structure/patterns in the touched domain (`frontend`, `backend`, etc.).
5. Report exact file paths changed and why.
## Frontend notes
- Preserve established design direction in existing files.
- Prefer minimal DOM/CSS motion changes over full redesigns.
- Keep mobile-first space conservation in mind before adding new chrome.
## Closure
- Summarize changes and remaining open questions.
- If work is incomplete, capture next explicit step.

The repository has no `atris/` map, so that workflow’s repository-specific steps don’t apply. The acceptance criteria are exact: aggregate before half-up rounding, preserve the issue timezone at local 5 PM, and make page boundaries lossless.

All three fixes are now surgical: line values stay exact until the final quantization, timezone identity is retained for the due-date wall time, and pagination iterates through the full sequence length. I’m validating visible and DST/boundary cases now.
