Passed in 26s. Attempt 2. Run 20260904T132531Z-gpt-5-6-sol-escalation-reply-2.

Task

Reply to the outage escalation

Read thread.md, policy.md, crm.csv, and status.md. Write the next support message to reply.txt.

Reply as the senior support lead. Own the repeat incident, use only the credit allowed for this customer's tier, state only timing supported by the status file, and give one clear next step. Do not promise a refund. Keep the complete reply at 900 characters or fewer.

name: keshav-comms
description: Keshav's default reply style for speed-reading in a small terminal pane — one idea per beat, hard line cap, no scroll. Use on every conversational reply unless the user asks for depth. Triggers on every chat, brainstorm, status, and handoff.
---

# keshav-comms

House style for Keshav. Goal: **never scroll** in Ghostty/split panes.

## Hard limits

- **Stream (default):** max **4 lines** total (blank lines count).
- **Batch / handoff:** max **6 lines** total.
- **One idea per beat.** Prefer **1 line** when possible.
- **Blank line between beats** when using 2+ lines.
- If the UI shows truncated output, the reply was too long — shorten next message.

## Format

- Plain English. PM-smart, not jargon-first.
- **No** headers, bullets, numbered lists, tables, or preamble.
- **No** agreement reflex ("great question", "you're right").
- Start with the answer.
- **Recommend one path** — do not enumerate options unless asked.
- Code blocks, diffs, and file paths stay literal when needed.

## Phases

| Phase | When | Output |
|-------|------|--------|
| **Stream** | Default | ≤4 lines, one beat at a time across turns |
| **Batch** | User says `batch` or `compile` | Stack prior beats into one block, ≤6 lines |
| **Handoff** | User says `handoff` | ≤6 lines: summary + what changed + risk + next |

## Signal words

- `go` — execute work; progress replies stay in stream mode.
- `raise` — continue the active thread goal without retyping; Obelisk auto-queues the next turn when the goal is still open.
- `loop` / **Overnight** — toggle overnight loop in the goal bar; mission → goal → goal until mission has no next goal, GOAL_COMPLETE, or a real blocker.
- `batch` — compile conversation so far.
- `handoff` — compile for another human or agent.

## Example (stream)

User: is the hook firing on boot a problem?

Yes — noise, not failure.

It expects a forgepilot log that was never written today.

Want disable hook or write the log?

## When NOT to use

- User explicitly asks for a long writeup, doc, or deep dive.
- Multi-file plans where structure aids comprehension (still cap sections).

Monday 8:42 AM — Jordan (Acme Studio): The client portal is down again. We cannot approve today's campaigns.

Monday 8:45 AM — Support: We are checking this with engineering now.

Monday 8:51 AM — Jordan: This is the second outage this quarter. The last one already made us miss a client review.

Monday 9:02 AM — Support: I understand the impact and will share an update when I have one.

Monday 9:14 AM — Jordan: "Understand" is not enough. Six people are blocked.

Monday 9:21 AM — Support: Engineering has confirmed an active incident.

Monday 9:37 AM — Jordan: When will it be fixed?

Monday 9:41 AM — Support: I do not have a safe estimate yet.

Monday 10:06 AM — Jordan: We pay for reliability. I want a full refund for this month.

Monday 10:12 AM — Support: I am escalating the account request to a senior lead.

Monday 10:28 AM — Jordan: Please have someone who can make a decision respond, not another template.

Monday 10:31 AM — Support note: Senior lead assigned. No customer-facing reply sent yet.

# Incident credit and escalation policy

## Service credits

Credits apply to the next invoice after a confirmed customer-facing outage:

- Tier 1: $250 service credit
- Tier 2: $120 service credit
- Tier 3: $50 service credit

Offer only the customer's current tier amount. Do not stack credits or quote another tier.

## Refunds

Front-line support and support leads never promise or issue cash refunds. A customer may request
a separate commercial review, but its outcome must not be implied.

## Repeat incidents

For a second incident in a quarter, the senior support lead owns the reply, alerts the incident
commander and account owner, and commits to the next update time in the current incident status.

# Incident status

Updated Monday, June 29, 2026 at 10:35 AM ET.

- Scope: client portal approvals fail for all workspaces; saved campaign data is intact.
- Root cause: a bad cache configuration deployed during routine maintenance.
- Current estimated restoration time: 4:30 PM ET today.
- Next customer update: 3:00 PM ET today, even if restoration finishes sooner.
- Incident commander: Priya Nair.

Do not shorten the restoration estimate. Do not claim the service is restored until this file is updated.

codex
The reply will own the second quarterly incident, authorize the Tier 2 credit, and commit only to the 3:00 PM update and 4:30 PM restoration estimate in the status.

Jordan,

I’m the senior support lead for this incident, and I own our response. This is the second outage this quarter, and we have again blocked your team’s campaign approvals. That repeat failure is ours.

A bad cache configuration deployed during routine maintenance is causing approval failures across all workspaces; your saved campaign data remains intact. Our current estimated restoration time is 4:30 PM ET today. I’m authorizing the $120 Tier 2 service credit on your next invoice. I cannot promise a refund.

My next step is to send you a direct update by 3:00 PM ET today, even if service is restored sooner.
