Overview
Noteflow is a markdown note-taking application developed by Atris AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.
Data Storage
Local Storage
Your notes are stored as plain markdown (.md) files on your local file system in a folder you choose. Noteflow does not automatically upload or sync your notes anywhere without your explicit action.
Atris Sync (Optional)
If you choose to enable Atris sync, your notes will be transmitted to Atris AI servers using your personal API token and agent ID. This feature is entirely optional and requires you to explicitly configure it in Settings. Data transmitted to Atris is subject to theAtris Privacy Policy.
Data We Collect
Noteflow collects minimal data:
- App Preferences: Settings like auto-save preferences, font size, and UI preferences are stored locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults.
- Atris Credentials: If you configure Atris sync, your API token and agent ID are stored securely on your device.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your notes without your explicit sync action
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties
- We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking services
Network Access
Noteflow requires network access solely for the optional Atris sync feature. If you do not configure Atris sync, the app functions entirely offline with no network communication.
Data Security
- All communication with Atris servers uses HTTPS encryption
- Your API credentials are stored in macOS secure storage
- Notes remain on your local file system unless you explicitly sync them
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Delete your notes at any time by removing the markdown files
- Disable Atris sync at any time in Settings
- Export your notes as HTML or PDF
- Switch to a different notes folder at any time
Children's Privacy
Noteflow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
